The Taoiseach landed in Philadelphia on Friday, and is to take part in a number of engagements, as well as a bilateral meeting with Trump.
The meeting comes amid the backdrop of the war in Iran, which has seen the Opposition call for the Taoiseach to condemn the US and Israel's strikes on the country as illegal under international law.
When asked whether he felt pressured following Catherine Connolly's comments that "the normalisation of war can never be accepted", the Taoiseach said he felt no pressure at all.
He has, however, called for there to be a peaceful resolution to the conflict in Iran.
The Taoiseach will begin St Patrick's Day with breakfast at Vice President JD Vance's residence, before going to the bilateral meeting at the White House.
He will then take part in the Friends of Ireland luncheon, which is hosted by US House Speaker Mike Johnston.
Martin and the Irish delegation will then return to the White House for the shamrock ceremony, alongside several hundred guests.
