James Lee Williams, who went by the name The Vivienne, died suddenly, although a Cheshire Police investigation said there were "no suspicious circumstances".
Williams, who took the name The Vivienne after their love for fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, was the first ever 'Drag Superstar' from the UK version of RuPaul's Drag Race.
Fans have been left rocked by the sudden death of the star, however, have pointed out a powerful post they made before their death.
On Friday (3 January) The Vivienne posted to their Instagram page of 668k followers in attempt to rally support for Liverpool's oldest LGBTQ+ charity Sahir House in was their final Instagram post.
The TV star wrote: "Join me in giving back this year, everything I do charitable wise is usually for @sahirhouse house, Liverpool’s oldest LGBT+ charity!!!
"The work they do is incredible, thank you. £1 a month you won’t miss it."
Following on from the sad news, tributes flooded in for the pioneer in the British drag scene, including from the likes of Ariana Grande.
The singer and Wicked star shared a picture of the The Vivienne with three hearts on her Instagram story.
Meanwhile screenwriter Russel T Davies wrote that The Vivienne was "absolutely delightful" after having a few encounters.
He added: "And what a talent!
"On the cusp of graduating to West End stardom. What a world. Night, darling."
