The change in the weather kicks in tonight, as Met Éireann forecasters have said it is going to feel "colder than in recent nights" with the temperatures ranging from 3C to 7C.
Sunday is, again, going to be a dry and mostly sunny day with the southwest part of the country experiencing patchy clouds. Maximum afternoon temperatures will range from 9C to 12C.
Cloud cover will start to increase along parts of the east coast on Sunday night, and into the morning. The lowest temperatures will range from 2C to 6C.
And as the week goes on, it's only going to get colder and colder - with plenty of rain, too.
Met Éireann forecasters have said that Monday is going to have a bright start, but cloud will increase during the day.
Apart from some drizzle it will stay dry with the highest temperatures from 8C to 11C.
Many parts of the country will stay cloudy on Monday night with some rain near eastern and southern coasts and lows of 4C to 7C.
Looking towards the rest of the week, a forecaster added:
"Showers will feed in from the Irish Sea on Tuesday and will mainly affect Leinster - meanwhile, the best of any sunshine will be in the west. "Feeling rather cold with moderate to fresh easterly winds and highest temperatures of 7C or 8C degrees. Tuesday night will be cold with some frost over western parts of the country. "Wednesday will be a cold day with sunshine and showers. The showers will be mainly in the east again with fresh easterly winds. Highest temperatures of only 5C to 7C."Met Éireann have said that it is going to continue to be "rather cold and showery" through Thursday and Friday. Grim enough.
