A viral TikTok clip has sparked the debate on whether men should stand up and give women their seats on public transport.
The video, which now has 1.4 million likes, shows a whole row of men sitting down on the Tube while a row of women are standing in the aisle and holding on to poles.
It's captioned '#womeninmalefields' while Lorde's Man of the Year plays in the background.
It's no surprise that the video sparked major debate in the comments.
"I’m confused- are you pregnant? disabled? injured? if you aren’t, and they got there first, are total strangers, they don’t owe you a seat??" commented one user.
Another said: "Genuine question, what is wrong with men sitting down? Surely the seats are just first come first serve as men and women are both equally capable?"
However, not all comments were negative, some users commented about chivalry.
"Chivalry is dead," wrote one user.
Another TikTok user added: "The so called 'Alpha Males' and 'Providers'."
Elsewhere on the platform, another user posted a similar video saying: "Men used to go to war for us and now we can't even get a man to let us sit down on the train."
"London generation!!! I couldn’t turn around without bursting off laughter at what I was seeing!!!" read the caption.
"Yall feminists ruined it, you hate all men so now we don’t care," weighed in one user.
Another commented: "I think this is so disgusting."
Look's like the debate remains a hot topic!
