She said the disease has changed their lives since he was diagnosed five years ago.
Una admitted that every single day is a learning experience for her.
In an interview with the Irish Mirror, she told the publication that they're experiencing something new every day.
"Life has changed considerably. Every day is a learning experience for me. It’s a journey that I certainly didn’t want to be on but it’s a mystery tour and every day is something new."
She continued: "Last week we were coming home and he thanked me for driving him home and I said, “Sure I live here as well,” and he said to me: I don’t think so."
Una said he has changed a lot in the five years since his diagnosis.
"Bryan has been diagnosed five years, he’s not the person he was five years ago, it’s taken hold of him."
Bryan Murray revealed his diagnosis in 2022 but only told his close family and friends about the heartbreaking health news.
Una said he would return to his role on Fair City, but there are people helping him with his lines as he now cannot remember them.
"He can’t learn his lines as he can’t remember what we said ten minutes ago, but it doesn’t mean it’s the end of his career," she shared.
September is World Alzheimer's Month.
