University forced to apologise after circulation of offensive Valentine’s Day card

As Valentine's Day is coming up in the next few days, people everywhere are gearing up to express their love in their own special way.

Many spend hours deliberating what to buy and get for their loved ones on the holiday, but one card in particular in the US has gone viral because of it being deemed anti-Semitic. According to Metro, students from Central Michigan University in the US were shocked when they were given a Valentine's Day card with a rather peculiar message. In pictures uploaded to Facebook, students were handed a card which held a picture of Adolf Hitler with the message "my love 4 u burns like 6,000 jews".

The President of the university came out and apologised for the cards that offended members of the student body.

"We are deeply disappointed by last night's situation with a Valentine card containing an inappropriate sentiment that was produced during a student organization meeting... "This is not who we are as a campus community."
