A woman in her 40s has been charged after the body of a woman in her 8os was discovered at a home in Seville Place, Dublin 1 on Wednesday.
The woman is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
The elderly woman was discovered by Gardaí after they received a call to the home at around 11.50am on Wednesday morning.
The Office of the State Pathologist was notified and a post-mortem examination was conducted later in the day.
The woman in her 40s was arrested on suspicion of murder and was held at Store Street Garda station.
