The one thing that made this look stand out even more in the street style game was when celebrities took it on, with Kendall Jenner at the forefront.
In 2021, Kendall began serving as creative director for FWRD and began working closely with Jean Paul Gaultier. Since then, she has teamed up with the brand on major red carpets such as the Vanity Fair Oscar Party and this year's Met Gala.
But her love for the 90s naked dress began at the launch of her role with FWRD and Jean Paul Gaultier, with Doja Cata also opting for a similar look.
"I'm so excited to be part of Jean Paul Gaultier's official launch on FWRD," Kendall explained in a statement, "I have always been a huge fan of Gaultier and the Cyber Collection. As Creative Director and a big fan of 90's fashion, edgy prints, and the way the clothes have simple lines but help you stand out — it's an honour to be able to share his vision with our customers."
Since the supermodel donned this look, it has been seen high and low, now making it onto the high street. Ego.co.uk has their own take on this look for £30 (€34), and LAPP on ASOS also replicates it for a little bit more at €190. Boohoo has their version on sale for €23 while PrettyLittleThing's take is available for €25 and Nasty Gal's more abstract version goes for €58. A quick online search will give you dozens of results for this dress and its cheaper alternatives, with shoppers dying to get their hands on the Kendall Jenner classic.
