Meghan Markle attends Royal Ascot and we’re not sold on her racing day outfit

Before we start, let us be clear that we are huge fans of Meghan Markle and have appreciated many of her style moments thus far, note this stunning Carolina Herrera design and of course, the gorgeous striped Altuzurra dress she wore in the weeks leading up the royal wedding. However, the Duchess of Sussex is at Royal Ascot today alongside her husband Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex and we're just not sold on her latest look. For her first trip to the much-talked-about race meeting, Meghan chose a white Givenchy shirt dress paired with a thin black belt. Her look was finished with a monochrome Philip Treacy hat and she wore her hair in a sleek updo to show off her hat to its full potential. The former Suits actress paired the Givenchy dress with black court shoes and although we love certain features of the dress, notably the lace detail and elegant button-effect, we're just not mad on the overall look. At the moment, the French fashion house appears to be Meghan's designer of choice. Her wedding dress was Givenchy, the gown she wore for her wedding ceremony FYI and just last week, she wore Givenchy for her first royal engagement with the Queen. Today was a family affair as the Queen, Prince Charles, the Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Anne, Princess Edward and the Countess of Wessex were all in attendance, watching the first race in the royal box.
