Eight incredible books to curl up with this autumn

Fall has well and truly arrived.

And as the nights get darker quicker and much, much colder, it's hard to resist the temptation of curling up on the couch with a good book - especially when it goes perfectly with a pumpkin spice latte or hot apple cider. From mysteries to fantasy and everything in between, there's been a number of incredible books hitting the shelves this season. So here's our pick of eight of the best books to enjoy this autumn. Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

The long-awaited follow-up to Everything I Never Told You follows a small community in the Midwest in the United States that gets torn apart when a couple adopt a little girl left at a fire station whose mum, a Chinese immigrant, desperately wants her back. Manhattan Beach by Jennifer Egan

A Legacy of Spies by John le Carré

Oh My God What a Complete Aisling by Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen

The novel, based on the Facebook group of the same name, follows Aisling and John as they hit a crossroads in their relationship - and how everything ends up changing for the newly-single Ais after she moves to the big city. La Belle Sauvage by Philip Pullman

The first in The Book of Dust series, the novel re-introduces fans of His Dark Materials to some familiar faces (like a baby Lyra and a younger Lord Asriel) - as well as setting up the adventure for our new hero, Malcom, and his daemon Asta. Did You See Melody? by Sophie Hannah
