Now you do! And Britney is ready to tell the whole story of their "passionate" fling in her own words.
In her new memoir, 'The Woman In Me,' the pop princess compared their time as a couple to a "street fight," stating that they were "all over each other."
In the passage, obtained by Time, Britney says she was set up with Colin by a "club promoter friend," marking the start of their two-week romance back in 2003.
"Brawl is the only word for it. We were all over each other, grappling so passionately it was like we were in a street fight."
She then recalled attending the premiere of the Irish actor's movie 'The Recruit' where Colin denied the two were dating when asked by reporters.
"We're not dating. She's a sweet, sweet girl. There's nothing going on - just mates," he said, upsetting the singer, prompting her to leave as soon as the paparazzi were gone.
Though Britney did later tell W Magazine, that their time together was "nothing serious," but did confess to kissing him stating that he was "so hot".
She went on to say that at the time they started seeing each other, she was still reeling from the end of her highly publicised relationship with Justin Timberlake.
"As I had before when I'd felt too attached to a man, I tried to convince myself in every way that it was not a big deal, that we were just having fun, that in this case, I was vulnerable because I wasn’t over Justin yet," she confessed.
Making the situation worse was that Justin was apparently making the most of being single and "slept with six or seven girls" in the weeks after they called it quits.
