Molly-Mae has yet to confirm her son's name on social media, but partner Tommy Fury revealed the news over the weekend during a boxing match with Eddie Hall on Saturday night.

The former Love Island star announced that their second child is named Midas.

The boxer wore the name on his jacket in gold writing, walked out to Midas Touch, and said the match was "for Midas Fury."

But what is the meaning behind the name Midas?

Midas is a name of Ancient Greek origin, and carries a long history of wealth and prosperity.

In Greek mythology, King Midas of Phrygia was granted one wish from the Greek Gods, and he asked for everything he touched to be turned to gold. While this made the king extremely wealthy, it also meant that he starved as his food and drink would turn to gold when he tried to eat or drink. Often, his myth serves as a metaphor for the dangers of greed in society.

In modern days, the name is associated with the song Midas Touch by Midnight Star.

Although Molly-Mae hasn't posted anything yet about her second child's name, she did attend her partner's boxing match over the weekend and took to her social media to show her support.
