Congratulations! Glenda Gilson has given birth to her first child

"Both mummy and little man doing well!"

Last night, Glenda Gilson alongside her husband, Rob Macnaughton, welcomed their first child into the world, a little boy named Bobby Mac. Breaking the news on Instagram, Bobby's proud daddy took to the platform to share an image of his little one with the caption:

"Bobby Mac arrived into the world at 11.16pm weighing 7lbs. Both mummy and little man doing well ?.. & Daddy over the moon."

Just last week, Glenda finished up presenting on Xposé to go on her maternity leave. Having a send-off in Powerscourt Hotel, the star looked radiant as she was pictured cutting a decorative cake. This is the first child for Glenda and Rob who tied the knot in County Clare four years ago. Speaking to TV3 at the time of her wedding, Glenda said:

"I’m marrying the man I love and want to spend the rest of my life with."
