Emmerdale Star Stuns Fans With Incredible Six Stone Weight Loss

Emmerdale actress Lisa Riley has unveiled an incredible weight loss transformation having dropped six stone and seven dress sizes in just ten months. Riley, who played Mandy Dingle on the show, took to Twitter to share pictures with her fans. The 39-year-old told Bella Magazine that new found fitness came following a series of health scares. Riley lost her Mam to cancer in 2012 and last year when her father was diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes, Riley knew it was time to get in shape. “Losing my mum then seeing my dad wired up and nearly losing him and becoming an orphan was a shock to my system," she said. “I don't want to be a statistic. I just want my health to carry on, to live my life to the fullest.” Riley claims that the weight loss is due to increased activity and giving up alcohol and pringles. “It’s been about awareness and lifestyle. I’m loads more active than I used to be. “I get up at 6am, and before I shower I do a 40-minute walk, and at night I do Zumba. I do yoga a lot too. Rather than take a lift, I’ll run up the stairs. “I don’t eat after 6pm, and what I’m putting in my body is not what I’ve put in my body for years. I’ve not drunk alcohol for a long time now. "I pat myself on the back every day not a drop passes my lips. I don’t think it ever will again.” Riley told The Mirror the reaction to her weight loss has been incredible. “In Marks & Spencer, a lovely old dear said: ‘I thought you were Lisa Riley but she’s miles f***ing fatter than you!’ she said. “I recently saw two of my best mates for the first time in six weeks, and their reaction was incredible. And the other day a friend who’d not seen me for three years actually screamed.”
