FIRST LOOK: Ed Sheeran Joins the Cast of Home and Away

"He's the world's biggest music superstar..." So goes the breathless promo for the "history-making event" on Australian soap Home and Away, as ginger crooner Ed Sheeran is set to join the cast. Sheeran, 24, filmed scenes for the wildly popular soap while on tour Down Under earlier this year. At the time, he was spotted filming with Emily Symons, who plays Marilyn Chambers on the show. Ed will play "Teddy", a child Marilyn acted as a nanny too while she lived in the UK. Imagine the surprise in the Summer Bay diner when Teddy turns out to be Ed.
