Joe Alwyn on what Taylor Swift thought of his Conversations With Friends sex scenes

Joe Alwyn has opened up about how his girlfriend Taylor Swift felt about his sex scenes in Conversations with Friends. The actor is set to star in the upcoming TV adaption of Sally Rooney's Conversations with Friends, and opened up about what the songstress thought of his sex scenes with Irish actress Alison Oliver. Taylor and Joe have been dating since 2016 after meeting at the 2015 Met Gala. While promoting the series, Joe told Extra that Taylor was really cool about the intimate scenes, saying: I mean, she’s read the book and she loves the book, so she knows it. [Taylor] just, like, couldn’t be a bigger fan of the project." Joe stars as Nick in the upcoming series while Alison plays Frances, and she added: "You go through, like, a lot of rehearsal and kind of in-depth conversations about the intimate scenes and kind of what story we’re trying to tell. “Hopefully, each intimate scene feels different or there’s some kind of progression in their relationship.” Conversations With Friends follows the life of two college students in Dublin, Frances and Bobbi (Sasha Lane), as they strike up an unlikely friendship with an older couple - the intriguing photographer Melissa and actor Nick. Like the hugely popular adaption of Rooney's other novel, Normal People, Conversations with Friends will be directed by the acclaimed Irish filmmaker Lenny Abrahamson. Beginning on 18 May at 9.35pm, RTÉ will air Conversations with Friends over six weeks, with two episodes each Wednesday night. "RTÉ is delighted to be working with Element Pictures again on Conversations with Friends," RTÉ Director of Broadcast and Co-Productions Dermot Horan said in a statement. "Sally Rooney's novels have really resonated with Irish readers and there is great expectation that this adaptation will do the same for both RTÉ Television and RTÉ Player viewers."
