Dickson, who also works on Britain's Got Talent and Live At The Apollo, has become as famous as the celebrity judging panel for his trademark introduction of contestants during the live shows.
His departure follows news that long-time host Dermot O'Leary will be replaced by Olly Murs and Caroline Flack for the upcoming series, with Xtra Factor host Sarah Crawford also axed in favour of The Saturdays star Rochelle Humes and DJ Melvin Odoom.
