While giving an interview on the red carpet, Seinfeld was interrupted by some stranger who asked him for a hug, that ‘stranger’ being superfan, Kesha. “Oh my gosh, I love you so much,” Kesha says in the clip uploaded to Twitter. “Can I give you a hug?” Then things take a fairly awkward turn as Seinfeld starts shaking his head and saying “No, thanks”. However, asking again, the actor then ducks out of her reach in what makes for some truly cringe-worthy viewing.
After a few more attempts to get her hug, Kesha then scurried off into the background mortified, leaving Seinfeld awkwardly laughing. “I don’t know who that was,” he said of the interaction. Even though the interviewer eventually informs the actor who the strange lady was, the damage was already done.
