The hit baking show returned earlier this week.
It has now been reported that bookies have ceased taking bets on the possible winner of this year's baking contest after Ladbrokes reported that 90 per cent of bets were placed on one contestant.
The high volume of bets on the baker, which have driven the contestant to evens favorite, have led to suspicion that there has been a leak of some sort.
Stuart Henshall was the first contestant to lose his place on the show.
Ladbrokes revealed that it had received a flurry of suspicious activity including several people asking to bet the highest amount possible.
Many of the high wagers were placed in the Suffolk town, Ipswich.
A spokesman for the bookmaker told the Mail Online: "When you see a run of bets like this for one contestant at the expense of everyone else, that can be a sign to suspend betting for a bit to assess the situation, and that's exactly what we did."Eight additional cast members announced for Boys of Tommen series
