The film, which has been given a working title of Greenbrier, was originally announced back in November 2018.
Although very little has been revealed about the project (secret, remember?), it has been suggested that Aaron Paul will reprise his role of Jesse Pinkman to star in the picture.
It is also expected that Bryan Cranston will return for a brief cameo as Walter White. Breaking Bad creator Vince Gillian will naturally take on the role of writer and director.
According to Deadline, the film will also be coming to Netflix, so you won't even need to go very far to get your next Albuquerque fix.
Delightful.
"For Netflix and AMC to share the Breaking Bad followup is fitting as the two outlets share the credit for the success of the original series," an earlier report read.
"Gilligan acknowledged the streamer’s contribution in his acceptance speech for the series’ first best drama series Emmy win in 2013."
Last year, Cranston admitted that he had not yet seen the script for the movie, but that he was entirely open to working with Gilligan again.
"I have not gotten the script. I had not read the script, so there's a question of whether we'd even see Walter White in this movie! Think about that one," he told The Dan Patrick Show.
"If Vince Gilligan asked me to do it, sure, absolutely. He's a genius. "It's a great story, and there's a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some sort of completion to some of these storylines that were left open." Bring it on.
