Cheryl’s stopping a Girls Aloud reunion for one reason

She thinks it'll be 'cringe'.

There have been numerous rumours of a Girls Aloud reunion for years now. Every now and then it gets suggested that the girl band will get back together. But, alas, it's never happened. And it doesn't look like it's going to anytime soon. This year marks the 15th anniversary since the girls took part in the talent show Popstars: The Rivals. People have been hoping that this will be a big enough reason for the girls to reunite. However, it seems the decision not to get back together is all down to Cheryl. According to Metro, a source said:

"Cheryl told Kimberley she’s not 
even considering reforming Girls 
Aloud. She thinks 
it’s all a bit “The 
Big Reunion” 
and cringe."

Cheryl, who just welcomed her first child with Liam Payne, is in no hurry to get back to work and especially not for a reunion. The source added:

"Just like Victoria Beckham and the Spice Girls, the band is a part of Cheryl’s history she’s in no rush to revisit and after having her baby boy she’s taking at least six months off work."
