Colin Farrell To Star In Harry Potter Spin Off ‘Fantastic Beasts’

Harry Potter fans were recently disappointed to learn that Daniel Radcliffe will not star in the spin off Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. However, Irish fans in will be excited to hear that our very own Colin Farrell will star in the movie which is set decades before Potter was born. Colin is the latest cast member to be confirmed. The 39-year-old will play Graves, a wizard that the film's protagonist Newt (Eddie Redmayne) meets while in New York. Colin joins a solid list of Irish actors who have starred in the Harry Potter franchise, including Evanna Lynch and Brendan and Domhnall Gleeson. Brendan starred as Alastor Moody in the Harry Potter series. Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller and Alison Sudol are also confirmed to star in the film, which will be directed by David Yates and is set for release in 2016.
