Could tensions with dance partner have caused Amanda Abbington’s Strictly exit?

Did Amanda Abbington just hint at the real reason for her 'Strictly' exit?

In her lengthy post, she thanked her team but didn't mention her professional partner Giovanni Pernice anywhere, raising a few eyebrows in the process.

"It is with deepest regret that I had to leave Strictly. I did not come to this decision easily or lightly but for personal reasons, I am unable to continue," she penned.

"It was an absolute joy working with my fellow contestants, they are a beautiful, hardworking and talented group of people who I love and who I will miss seeing every Friday and Saturday and competing alongside.

"I want to thank the incredible Production team and everyone on Strictly who looked after me and who are so kind and caring. It’s a wonderful bunch of people and I’ll miss all of them.

"I’m so sad that I am unable to go any further. Thank you to everyone who voted and who sent wonderful messages and inspiring support. You are all amazing. Truly. Thank you. xxx," she concluded.

While a number of professional dancers and celebs from the show left messages of encouragement, Giovanni didn't even like the post.

Rumours of conflict between Amanda and Giovanni started to arise last month after it was reported by The MailOnline, that the actress was shocked by her pro parnter's "militant and aggressive" training style.

The 49 year old hit back at these claims, branding them as "bulls**t" telling the haters to "f*** off".

Though he may not have liked the post Giovanni did share a snap of them backstage during movie week captioning it, "Amanda ..I am so sad we can’t continue but I am proud of what we achieved and I am sending you so much love."

Yet soon after Amanda's fiance Jonathan Goodwin shared a cryptic post that read, "We can be so hard on ourselves...be our own worst critics...But before you judge yourself... make sure your mirror is clean."
