Add us as a preferred source on Google »Emily in Paris fans have been binge-watching the latest episodes of the popular Netflix series, but there's one issue cropping up all over socials.
We can all agree that Emily hasn't made the wisest decisions when it comes to her love life, but there's one that stings more than others.
Gabriel and Emily's love story may be one of the show's biggest storylines but many fans were hoping Emily and Alfie would work things out.
The charming English businessman was a much better match for Emily and certainly treated her far better than Gabriel did in season four.
Unfortunately, Emily failed to see just how great Alfie was and he moved on in the second part of season four.
Fans were shocked when Emily bumped into Alfie on Christmas Eve in Paris.
She just had a huge falling out with Gabriel and randomly bumped into him in the centre of Paris.
Unfortunately, the perfect rom-com moment was spoiled when Alfie revealed that his girlfriend was waiting for him.
The way Emily fumbled Alfie he was a best match I’m so pissed but Alfie deserved way better than Emily #EmilyInParis

Emily, understandably, burst into tears after saying goodbye to Alfie and she wasn't the only one who was heartbroken.
Many agreed that Emily should've always picked Alfie, but the writers always wanted her to go back to Gabriel.
"If the Emily in Paris writers ruin Emily’s relationship with the hot Italian the way they ruined her and Alfie for that loser chef who’s emotionally attached to his ex, I’m gonna sue them for emotional distress. Y'all already took Alfie away from me, leave Marcello alone!!!"
"Emily stop crying, you should’ve picked Alfie in the first place," another said.
"I wish I could say I feel bad for Emily that Alfie moved on but I DON’T! You let that good man go to be a side chick to your own boyfriend," another said.
"Alfie is the one that got away," another wrote.
One said: "About to start Emily in Paris season 4, and if she doesn’t end up with Alfie we’re going to have serious problems."

‘For culture and society’ – Why we need to fall in love with rom-coms again
Rom-coms have always mattered; Hollywood just failed to treat them right In Love Actually, Hugh Grant thinks of the arrivals gate at Heathrow Airport when he feels gloomy about the state of the world, but when reality is starting to get to me, I turn to rom-coms, especially ones like the Richard Curtis classic.
