Friends fans wont be happy about Elle MacPherson’s latest comments

We're surprised by this.

While Elle MacPherson is a hugely famous supermodel, people will still always remember her as Janine the dancer on Friends. Janine comes into the show as Joey's roommate before becoming his girlfriend. Arguably some of the best episodes of the show included her character, (The One with the Routine is definitely top ten) so we were surprised to hear Elle's comments about her time on the show. Speaking to TV Week the model said that if she knew how big the show was going to be, she may not have done it.

“If I’d known how important it was in the US, or how long it would be on TV, I may not have chosen to do it," she said. “It was a lot of pressure if you look at it in the way that it will be around for 20 or 30 years.”

Considering her storyline was a success on the show and fans loved her guest starring, we're not sure what kind of pressure she still feels. The Next Top Model host went on to say that her part in the show follows her around because of the huge following the show still has.

“Friends is still very popular where we live in America and re-runs are on constantly," she said. “[My son and his friends] know me as Janine LaCroix and they are always like, 'Oh you know, Cy's [mom] she is on Friends.’' “They haven't figured out it was nearly 20 years ago, they still think I am on Friends.”

Elle starred in five episodes during the 6th season of the show and reveals that she was offered more episodes but turned them down because she was living in London during the show.
