Add us as a preferred source on Google »Fans of Gavin and Stacey took to social media just minutes after last night's finale to say that the show had the 'most perfect ending ever'.
Seventeen years after the much-loved comedy's first episode aired, the end of an era came in the form of a one hour and thirty minute special at 9pm on Christmas Day.
It had been five years since the last Gavin & Stacey Christmas special aired back in 2019 but fans have been moved to tears by the last few minutes of last nights episode.
Taking to X, one person commented: "Loved the final episode of Gavin and Stacy, and what a perfect way to end a great TV show. Gutted it’s the last one, but right ending."
One other user added: "9.9/10 finale, wonderful stuff. Anyone who wanted to know what happened on the fishing trip just doesn’t get it!"
A third said: "The most perfect ending ever. I’m gonna miss them all so much."
