Is Gilmore Girls leaving Netflix in 2023?

Gilmore Girls is our go-to series to watch, but is it leaving Netflix soon?

It is one of the most-watched series on Netflix but fans are worried it could leave the streaming service in 2023.

Sure we could buy the boxset or watch it somewhere online, but being able to pop it on Netflix and watch episode after episode is the best.

The streaming service has a license to stream Gilmore Girls until July 2026, but who knows if it will be renewed after that.

The news comes after series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino said she'd love to revisit the show.

She revealed there are many storylines she'd like to redo.

Speaking to Rolling Stone, the writer said:

I really never liked the way Lane’s life shook out. I would have liked to have spent more time on her,” she said.

She continued: “I think it would be interesting to see a baby and a kid and what that next Gilmore Girl round would be.”

In 2021, she said, “the stars just haven’t aligned yet” for more episodes, but who knows what could happen in the future.

We can only dream about the show returning for another series, but I guess we'll just have to continue rewatching for now.
