Girls Aloud fuel reunion rumours after singer drops major hint

It looks like Girls Aloud could reunite very soon

We pranced around our bedrooms to 'Sound of the Underground' like there was no tomorrow, played 'The Promise' on loop on our iPods, and daydreamed about how cool it must be to be part of a girl band.

They were, and arguably still are, one of the best female pop bands ever, and it looks like they're making a return to the spotlight.

Rumour has it that Girls Aloud are finally reuniting, and singer Nicola Roberts fueled the rumours this week.

She posted a clip of an old-fashioned film projector with the number four on it.

The singer's post sent fans into a frenzy with many believing she's starting a countdown.

One fan said: "I'm so ready for new music."

Another added: "Nicola Maria Roberts, you'd best not be playing with us!

A third shared: "Omg it's happening."

News of their reunion comes after the band sadly lost Sarah Harding in 2021. The beloved singer passed away from cancer at the age of 39.

It is believed the band's comeback single will be in honour of Sarah Harding.
