Here’s the truth about those Will Smith “quotes” about Jared Leto that are going viral

As the release of Suicide Squad draws ever closer (it's tomorrow FYI), we keep hearing wild stories from behind the scenes.

The next big superhero effort from DC Comics has had us curious ever since its first trailer. A bunch of badass super villains teaming up to save the day? Will Smith, Cara Delevingne and Margot Robbie on the cast? David "I only make action films about damaged people" Ayer to direct? This was gonna be big. And then Jared Leto came along and started posting dead pigs to everyone on set. https://twitter.com/LiamDrydenEtc/status/760424717731958784 Throughout the making of Suicide Squad, there have been backstage reports that Jared Leto (the world's most shredded vegan) has been going to extreme lengths to go "method" for his role as The Joker. According to reports (and some interviews from the man himself), Leto got so immersed in his role as the Crown Prince of Crime, he wouldn't break out of character on set, even when the cameras were off. To get in the proper mindset for the role, he even sent Joker style "gifts" to fellow cast members. Margot Robbie got a black rat, Will Smith got bullets, a used Playboy magazine was sent to Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, and a dead hog, anal beads and used condoms found their way to the whole crew. It was a bit much. Some internet sleuthing can reveal that the "Will Smith dislikes Jared Leto" rumour came from Above Average - a rather good comedy website. That's right folks, it was a parody. There's no reports of Will Smith having an (official at least) quarrel with him. Black rats, used condoms and dead pigs in the mail (seriously Jared, where did you find all of these things?) or not. So sorry folks, while we'd like to believe Will Smith invited out all his buddies apart from Jared for a Suicide Squad wrap party, it appears to be false. Will and Jared are best buds.
