The third season of Killing Eve, which is based on the Codename Villanelle novellas by Luke Jennings, continues the story of two women with brutal pasts - each of whom are addicted to each other but now trying desperately to live their lives without their drug of choice.
"For Villanelle, the assassin without a job, Eve is dead. For Eve, the ex-MI6 operative hiding in plain sight, Villanelle will never find her. All seems fine until a shocking and personal death sets them on a collision course yet again," the series' description continues.
And it good news for fans in Ireland, it looks like there won't be long to wait until new episodes are available. Following the news that the series will be debuting earlier in North America (April 12 on BBC America and AMC, to be exact), a spokesperson for RTÉ has confirmed to Her that it will kick off at 10.15pm on Tuesday, April 14. It comes as the new head writer for season four of Killing Eve has been announced earlier this year. Sex Education and Secret Diary of a Call Girl's Laura Neal will write the upcoming fourth season, which is expected to go into production later this year. Phoebe Waller-Bridge was the lead writer for season one, while Emerald Fennell was the lead writer for season two. Season three has Suzanne Heathcote as the lead writer. “Laura is frighteningly bright, takes no prisoners and can laugh at anything,” Killing Eve's executive Producer Sally Woodward Gentle said at the time. “She’s wicked and wild, emotional and provocative.
