A huge actor wants to play the O’Donovan brothers in a movie

We would LOVE to see this happen.

While the O'Donovan brothers, Gary and Paul, caught the attention of a lot of people last summer when they competed in the Olympics, it seems one Hollywood star was most impressed by them. So much so, he wants to play one of them in a movie about their lives. None other than James McAvoy wants to play one of the boys in a biopic, and he also wants his friend Michael Fassbender to join him to play the other brother.

James and Michael both appeared alongside Gary and Paul on the New Years Eve special of The Graham Norton Show last year and James has been thinking about the possible movie ever since. According to The Sun, he said:

"We’ve been looking to do something else together that has heart, has action, has suspense, has comedy. Has Olympic medals. It’s a no-brainer. I was just mesmerised by the O’Donovans. They sat on that couch and commanded focus. They were the funniest, coolest guys and just by being themselves, they sort of won over the world. And even though yes, they are much younger than us, that’s what make-up and CGI magic is for."

We're hoping this happens.
