The identity of Riverdale’s Gargoyle King was finally revealed but fans aren’t too impressed

It's all kicking off.

After months and months of terrorising the town of Riverdale, the identity of The Gargoyle King was finally revealed. But fans are convinced there was more to the news than meets the eye.

Scenes in the latest episode saw Fangs Fogarty - who has successfully infiltrated the Gargoyles - tells Jughead about a special ceremony taking place the next night in Fox Forest. The Serpents come up with a plan to take down the Gargoyle King once and for all. The next night, at the Gargoyle Gang ceremony, the Serpents manage to tackle the Gargoyle King and unmask him. It is revealed that the mysterious, mystical figure is...Tall Boy. But if the residents of Riverdale were hoping for answers to the Gargoyle King situation, then there's some very (and we mean very) bad news. Later in the episode, Tall Boy tries to escape the Gargoyles and Fangs (who is undercover with the gang) accidentally shoots and kills him. Fans are convinced, though, that it was some kind of fake-out - just like the series did with the identity of The Black Hood last year. Instead, many people are convinced that Tall Boy was actually working for someone else - like Hiram, Hermione or F.P. • He's baaaaaack. Archie finally makes it back to Riverdale, also becoming a red head again.
• Betty's mum, Alice, gave away all of her savings - including her college fund - to The Farm.
• Veronica dumps Reggie pretty much as soon as she finds out Archie as back and he takes it surprisingly well.
• The gang attempt some degree of normalcy and spend a chunk of the episode studying for the S.A.T's.
• Archie talks to Reggie about 'cheating' on the S.A.T's. But Reggie thinks he's asking about his hookup with Veronica. So, things get very, very awkward.
• Betty goes to see her dad. Several times. He claims to have been the Black Hood when he was in high school, and is just generally very Black Hood-ish still.
• Hiram got shot by....someone. Veronica thinks that Archie did it, which basically put a damper on any kind of reunion for them (for now).
• F.P. is the new sheriff in town. And if fans are right about him, this could spell some serious trouble.
