Irish Author Eoin Colfer To Pen Next Novel In Iron Man Series

A proud day for the Irish today as our very own Eoin Colfer has sealed a deal to write the next instalment of Marvel's Iron Man series. Tony Stark aka Iron Man will embark on an Irish adventure as the next chapter of his journey sees him visit the Emerald Isle. Wexford native Eoin has said he hopes to take the character to "places he has never been before" in the new story which will be released in the autumn of 2016.

Speaking in an online questions and answers session, the Artemis Fowl author revealed his excitement at becoming a part of the hugely popular comic series. He said: “Some of you may have heard that I am doing an Iron Man book for marvel which I’m very excited about. I’m hoping to take Tony Stark to some places he has never been before. Very possibly he will be visiting Ireland and will get himself into some severe trouble."  Iron Man is one of Marvel's most popular comic book superheroes, and became even more well-known in recent years with three Hollywood blockbusters starring Robert Downey Jr. Robert Downey Jr. stars as Iron Man in the Hollywood adaptation.  Huge congrats to Eoin - we can't wait to see where he takes the superhero next!
