Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom release a statement to confirm their split

Katy and Orlando are no more.

Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have called time on their relationship. The couple, who were together for nearly a year, have confirmed that they have split up. They released a statement to E! News which reads:

"Before rumors or falsifications get out of hand we can confirm that Orlando and Katy are taking respectful, loving space at this time."

The pair were spotted at the Vanity Fair after party for the Oscars just a few days ago but they didn't walk the red carpet together. It was rumoured that the pair had split up in November of last year but after Orlando spent Christmas with Katy's family it was clear they were still together. Katy also threw him a surprise 40th birthday party in January.
