The LAST person we expected is joining the cast of EastEnders

Hannah Spearritt is joining the cast of EastEnders. Who is Hannah Spearritt, you ask? It's none other than Hannah from S Club 7. Random, we know. She will join the cast of the show as Karen Taylor's sister later this year. Taking up the role as Kandice, Digital Spy reckons she will be the rowdiest of the Taylor family.

 Commenting on her new role, Hannah said:

"I'm over the moon to be joining the show, it's such a huge part of British telly. I'm really looking forward to getting started and I can't wait to see the Square in the flesh. Walford here I come!"

Since leaving the band Hannah has branched into the world of acting, having previous roles in Primeval and Casualty. Although EastEnders have cast ex-popstars in the past, they don't make a regular habit of it so this one has taken us by surprise.
