‘Leaked’ cast list reveals fate of Game of Thrones characters ahead of final season

Got that? Good. Then let us begin. Excitement is building ahead of the final season of Game of Thrones, which, as you're probably more than well aware by now, premieres in the UK and Ireland in April. Obviously, there's a lot of unanswered questions following the finale of season seven, which saw the Night King and his armies decimate The Wall with the help of Daenerys' fallen dragon Viserion, advancing on Westeros. In that final scene, many assumed Tormund and Beric Dondarrion, who had both been on The Wall as Viserion brought it crashing down, had perished. They were last seen jumping from the ancient structure as it crumbled. Now though, according to Watchers On The Wall, an online community of GoT fans, both characters may have survived. This, they claim, is because of a cast list for the opening episode of season eight which was allegedly leaked on Friday. The names of Kristofer Hivju and Richard Dormer - the actors who play Tormund and Beric respectively - are both said to feature. As you might expect, HBO have declined to comment on the rumours. Only last month, it was claimed one of the season eight teaser trailers had included a hint that Bran Stark, who featured in it along with his siblings, was in actual fact the Night King. One thing we can be sure of in the time before the show finally returns is that there will be plenty more speculation along the way. Buckle in. There's only a couple of months to go.
