Looks like one of our favourite 90s movies is being made into a TV show

Quack, quack, quack!

A Mighty Ducks television series is reportedly in the "early stages" of development. According to The Hollywood Reporter, a small screen adaptation of the 1990s dramedy about a youth hockey team is in early development with ABC Signature Studios. The first film debuted in 1992, and was soon followed by two sequels: the 1994 Junior Goodwill Games and Prep school in 1996. There aren't many details about the project available, though. However, the original series' screenwriter Steven Brill and original producer Jordan Kerner are both said to be involved. Brill will be writing the script in-house for ABC Signature and, if that comes in well, the company would package the project and shop it later this year. But there's a bit of bad news for fans. Sources stresses to the publication that, since the show is in its early stages, it won't be taken out any time soon. Emilio Estevez, who played Gordon Bombay in the original trilogy, is not currently attached to the project - and neither is Joshua Jackson, who played the team's captain Charlie Conway. It's also not too clear if the possible TV series is a reboot of the franchise or simply a sequel to the films.
