The series will see former Islanders from the UK, Australia, and USA versions of the reality dating show undergo team and couples' challenges while keeping the dating, eliminations, re-coupling, and bombshell arrival elements of the show - along with a few 'twists and turns'.
The winning couple of the show hosted by Maya Jama will walk away with a $100,000 cash prize.
Our Irish queen, Maura Higgins, who stole the hearts of viewers back on the 2019 series, has also been confirmed as the dedicated social host.
The UK islanders set to star in the upcoming reality series include, interestingly, Maura's ex-Curtis Pritchard (Season 5), as well as Georgia Steel (Season 8), Eyal Booker (Season 4), Toby Aromolaran (Season 7), Scott van der Sluis (Season 10), Jack Fowler (Season 8), Megan Barton-Hanson (Season 4), Liberty Poole (Season 7), and Mike Boateng (Season 6).
Scott van-der-Sluis, who rose to fame on this year's summer version of Love Island UK, confirmed to his followers that filming has been completed for Love Island Games and revealed that it's nothing like viewers of the show are used to.
"People aren’t sure what the deal is with Love Island Games – Love Island Games has already been recorded. It’s done, over. Love Island Games people, be excited. It’s not Love Island like you know it. It’s not Love Island like you know it.”
"It’s very, very different. You’re gonna enjoy it. It’s very, very different to normal Love Island, that’s why I did it."
Adding to the suspense and drama, 2020 Islander Liberty Poole shared some intimate details from the show for viewers to get excited about.
Speaking to the UK Sun, Liberty revealed that the line-up that has been announced isn't actually the full cast, indicating that more former Love Island stars may enter the villa as bombshells.
"It’s very physical, it’s typical Love Island with sexy challenges and there’s a physical aspect as well, and you need endurance and I do not have endurance. I also forgot about the prize money at the end I can’t lie.
"It’s still bikinis, sexy challenges, drama, flirting. You’ll see me in some funny outfits. There’s always a bit of cheeky snogging. Everyone was fit. It was different in a good way, definitely out of my comfort zone.""
"I think people are not going to expect the twists and turns, as cast we didn’t know what was going to happen next. You couldn’t predict it, it was quite strategic, and I am not a strategic person. We had to work together," the Birmingham native confessed.
She also alluded to another surprise appearance from another Love Island cast member on the show, which isn't Maya Jama or Maura Higgins.
"But I can’t say more than that. Maybe a bombshell, a lot of fit bombshells."
Hook it to my veins.
