According to the public watchdog, the majority of the complaints made were a response to the alleged bullying of Scott by the other islanders.
Another 913 complaints were made in response to Love Island’s July 25th episode, where Mitch took to the stage for the Grafties and allegedly showed bullying behaviour towards Abi.
While Love Island was the most complained about TV series of the year so far, it was topped by King Charles III: The Coronation which received 8,389 Ofcom complaints between 6 and 22 May – but is categorised under the TV feature section.
Following Love Island's complaints was Channel 5's The Jeremy Vine Show which recorded 2,250 complaints, with all of these coming from an episode that aired on March 13th.
Following on from this was Channel 4's Naked Attraction with 1,413 Ofcom complaints as viewers complained it was extremely inappropriate to show naked adult bodies to teenagers on air.
