Love Island producers hold urgent meeting with the Islanders over their behaviour

They're not impressed.

Given the recent bitchy and charged behaviour in the villa, the Love Island producers have apparently called an urgent meeting with the Islanders to discuss the show's code of conduct. The producers felt the need to call a "briefing" after the contestants' behaviour became something the public began to comment on.

They hoped that reminding the Islanders that they needed to act more respectful would, in turn, make them more conscious of how they're being viewed and also, lessen the backlash they're receiving online. Speaking to The Sun, a source said:

"There has been a lot of backbiting and bitching this series and the producers realised viewers were starting to really notice. "So earlier in the week the execs came into the villa for a ‘briefing’ with the contestants and told them they were to rein it in. The message seems to have been ignored by them all given their behaviour on Tuesday night."

This briefing was predominately directed at Anna and Amber after they, alongside others, rounded on Danny Williams over his treatment of Yewande Biala.

Danny has been in the centre of people's concern

The Metro UK also reported that Ofcom has since confirmed that the show could be under investigation for the scenes involving Danny and that they're "assessing these complaints against our broadcasting rules". Love Island returns to Virgin Media Two tonight at 9pm.
