Love Island viewers are really pissed off at Ellie but honestly she’s done nothing wrong

Ah, god.

Look, Alex and Ellie just aren't going to work out, lads. They're just not. And we know, we know, everybody wants the best for Dr Alex and is gasping for him to find love and just be happy and go ahead and win the show and have lots of smart, pink, doctor babies with the love of his life. But honestly, if you're not feeling it you're just not feeling it. And Ellie definitely isn't feeling it. The signs have been there for the past few days (like when Alex leaned all the way over to kiss her and she barely moved, or when Alex said he was so glad he'd get to try something with someone in a romantic sense and Ellie was like 'yeah I'm just glad I was saved'), but tonight they look set to come to the fore. At the beginning of tonight's episode, Ellie told the rest of the girls that she really likes Alex as a person but that she just couldn't see herself doing anything sexual with him. Megan echoed her sentiments and afterwards, Ellie said that it was "really shit" that she didn't feel anything romantic towards Alex. And yeah it is, and yeah Alex is most likely going to be left in the lurch again, but honestly what else is Ellie supposed to do? Accept she wasn't into Alex and just leave the villa during the recoupling last week? Just give up on the show and not try to see if anything would happen? Not give him a chance? Nah, none of those things were ever going to realistically happen. Because this is Love Island and everybody wants to win £50,000. Still though, that doesn't mean that Alex isn't going to get pissed off about this situation. He absolutely is. He's going to complain and he's going to feel let down and he's going to say that Ellie hasn't made an effort with him. And he's right, but that isn't going to change anything. She doesn't like him that way but she wanted to stay in the villa so she tried to give it a go, that's it. Sure, what can you do?
