Meghan Markle’s half-sister gives her take on the royal engagement

Meghan Markle's half-sister Samantha has given her take on the royal engagement news.

Samantha Grant, Meghan's estranged half-sister, said that she thought the news was "lovely" and that her sister has found "a once in a lifetime love." Speaking on Good Morning Britain today, she said:

"It’s lovely but I have to say what’s more important to our family and to her is that you find the person that’s the best fit for you. "I don’t think it’s so much who he is in terms of royalty as who he is as a man."

Samantha also said that she can tell that her half-sister is "bubbling with excitement" after watching her first TV interview with fiancée Prince Harry yesterday. Samantha and Meghan have reportedly not spoken for a few years.

"She is just bubbling and when I watch her with him it’s very real and normal and we only get that once in a lifetime if we’re lucky. "So it’s not about royalty so much as it is about love."

Samantha recently dismissed rumours that she called Meghan "self-obsessed," claiming that she thinks her half-sister is "very animated, very charming." She also told GMB today that the Markel family was "moving forward." Samantha is currently trying to sell her 'tell-all' book about her and Meghan's childhood.
