Netflix have shared the first look at Lily James and Armie Hammer in Rebecca.

The streaming service announced on Friday that the film will debut on October 21.  Directed by Ben Wheatley (High Rise, Free Fire) and produced by Working Title Films (Emma, Darkest Hour), Rebecca is described asa mesmerising and gorgeously rendered psychological thriller -- and is based on Daphne du Maurier’s beloved 1938 gothic novel. Kristin Scott Thomas, Keeley Hawes, Ann Dowd, Sam Riley, Tom Goodman-Hill, Mark Lewis Jones, John Hollingworth and Bill Paterson also star. "After a whirlwind romance in Monte Carlo with handsome widower Maxim de Winter (Armie Hammer), a newly married young woman (Lily James) arrives at Manderley, her new husband’s imposing family estate on a windswept English coast," the description reads. "Naive and inexperienced, she begins to settle into the trappings of her new life, but finds herself battling the shadow of Maxim’s first wife, the elegant and urbane Rebecca, whose haunting legacy is kept alive by Manderley’s sinister housekeeper Mrs. Danvers (Kristin Scott Thomas)." Jane Goldman and Joe Shrapnel & Anna Waterhouse adapted the script from Daphne du Maurier's 1938 novel. Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan of Working Title and Nira Park are set to produce the film. While we don't have a trailer for the film just yet, the first look photos definitely have us hooked -- we reckon this is going to be one to mark the calendars for.
