A new TV show wants to give you a chance to live rent-free in Ireland

It's safe to say that renting in Dublin, and indeed in the rest of Ireland, is an absolute nightmare. Many people are forking over more than half of their pay cheque to a landlord - and most have no choice. A new reality TV show that will air on Virgin Media Television is tapping into the harsh reality that is the rental market in Ireland. The production company behind the show, Kite Entertainment, are looking for people to take part and are on the hunt for older homeowners and young renters to participate in the brand new series. So, if you're an older homeowner (or know someone who is) that's looking for some company and someone to help around the house, they want you to get in touch. Meanwhile, if you're a young renter, strapped for cash and can hardly afford a place to live then this could also be perfect for you.

The producers are looking for homeowners over the age of 65 and prospective renters over the age of 21 to take part in the series in the hope to create a snapshot of what life is really like for people at both ends.
