Niall Horan announces he is going to ‘disappear’ in surprise statement

The Mullingar man has been on a world tour since February.

The former One Direction member performed his final gig of The Show tour at the Movistar Arena in Colombia on Wednesday.

Towards the end of his performance, Horan told the crowd: "This stands from tomorrow onwards, you'll never find me.

"I'm gonna be hungover as f*** tomorrow! And I'm gonna disappear for a while," he added. "I'm gonna make you guys a brand new album and I will be back, I promise."

The surprise announcement comes after Niall and former One Direction band member Liam Payne reunited in Argentina.

In August, Harry Styles was spotted at the Irishman's show at Co-Op Live in Manchester, amidst rumours that the boyband might reunite at next summer's Glastonbury festival.

Niall will be looking forward to getting back to London where he lives with his girlfriend of four years Amelia Wooley.

The pair first met during lockdown, and made their first public appearance together in September 2021.

It's likely Niall will also set aside a few days over Christmas to visit friends and family in his hometown of Mullingar.

The 31-year-old has spoken often about his love of home, and his appreciation of the simple pleasures like going for a pint with his friends.
