A fourth Bridget Jones movie is in the works and Leo Woodall is the latest star to be cast in the movie.
The actor stole our hearts as Dexter Mayhew in One Day and we cannot wait to see him return in the fourth installment of everyone's favourite chick flick.
Renée Zellweger is officially returning as Bridget.
Fans were surprised to hear that Hugh Grant will return as Daniel Cleaver after snubbing the third film, which was released in 2016.
Emma Thompson has also been cast in the fourth film. There's no doubt the actress will be an incredible addition to the movie. We certainly cannot wait to see her back on screen again.
However, the one addition fans are thrilled about is Leo Woodall.
The charming British actor has become a firm fan favourite despite only starring in One Day and The White Lotus.
Author Helen Fielding says it's a joy to see her books come to life on screen.
She told Radio Times: "Every film that gets made is a miracle. It's really difficult to make films and to make them happen.
Fielding said it's so hard to "make them good" but that's always their main goal.
"I'd love to see it on the screen," she said about the book.
The film will be loosely based on the fourth book. However, it has not yet been confirmed if the film will follow the exact storyline.
The synopsis reads:
'Fourteen years after landing Mark Darcy, Bridget’s life has taken her places she never expected. But despite the new challenges of single parenting, online dating, wildly morphing dress sizes, and bafflingly complex remote controls, she is the same irrepressible and endearing soul we all remember—though her talent for embarrassing herself in hilarious ways has become dangerously amplified now that she has 752 Twitter followers.
'As Bridget navigates head lice epidemics, school-picnic humiliations, and cross-generational sex, she learns that life isn’t over when you start needing reading glasses—and why one should never, ever text while drunk.'
