One of the Derry Girls has just landed a major TV role alongside Liv Tyler

This sounds brilliant.

It's fair to say we all fell in love with Derry Girls. After the first episode, we were crying out for longer episodes and more seasons, and while a second season has been confirmed, it won't be long until we see one of the Northern Irish women on our TV screens again. Nicola Coughlan, who played Clare on the show, has confirmed that she is currently filming a series called Harlots, and will star alongside Liv Tyler.

She tweeted about the new role today, saying: "I GOT NEWS!! Still pinching myself but I’m so, so excited to tell you all I’m currently filming harlotsonhulu alongside Samantha Morton, Lesley Manville, & Liv Tyler (to name but a few of the incredible women on this show). "It’s been a dream and I’m so excited for you to see it!" The TV show centres around women living in a brothel, and the drama that ensues in their daily lives. The show first aired in March of last year, and we're looking forward to seeing what Nicole brings to the table.
