People are comparing Netflix's new true crime docuseries The Confession Killer to Making A Murderer. 

The five-part series examines the story of Henry Lee Lucas who, in the early '80s, confessed to hundreds of murderers - bringing closure to unsolved cases and grieving families. Even with no direct evidence linking Lucas to the crime scenes, he stunned authorities with his ability to sketch victims' portraits while citing brutal details of each attack. Yet journalists and attorneys found impossibilities in Lucas’ timeline, and DNA testing started to contradict his internationally-reported claims. The Confession Killer explores how the man once called America’s most prolific serial killer was really a complex figure entangled in a flawed justice system. And after it was released on Friday, Netflix users have taken to social media to praise the series - and compare to many of the streaming service's other high-profile documentaries, like Making a Murderer and The Confession Tapes.
