Everyone is talking about this new mystery thriller series on Netflix

We cannot wait to watch this Netflix series

In the Netflix original show, based on the novel of the same name by Elin Hilderbrand, Kidman plays Greer Garrison Winbury - a famous novelist and the matriarch of the extremely wealthy Winbury family.

With her son Benji (Billy Howle, On Chesil Beach) about to marry the working class Amelia (Ireland's own Eve Hewson - Bad Sisters), dozens gather at the Winbury's luxurious Nantucket home for the wedding celebrations.

When one of those in attendance is found dead, however, everyone is a suspect.

Directed in its entirety by the great Susanne Bier (The Night Manager, The Undoing), The Perfect Couple's ensemble cast also features Irish actor Jack Reynor (Sing Street).

This is alongside Dakota Fanning (Ripley), Donna Lynne Champlin (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Isabelle Adjani (Possession), Ishaan Khattar (Don't Look Up), Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan), Meghann Fahy (The White Lotus), Michael Beach (Waiting to Exhale) and Sam Nivola (Eileen).

Having seen the first three episodes of six, we can confirm that the Netflix series continues Kidman's trend of starring in immensely watchable mystery shows following Big Little Lies, Nine Perfect Strangers, and The Undoing.

The Perfect Couple is a gripping watch

While The Perfect Couple perhaps lacks the depth of those earlier series, it is still very much worth checking out thanks to its fine cast, its beautiful setting, its darkly comic script filled with gossip and catty remarks, and its genuinely gripping whodunnit story.
