There was a proposal live on The Today Show on RTÉ

This is very sweet.

There was a marriage proposal live on TV yesterday. Ian Colton surprised his girlfriend Sarah Jane Gibson on The Today Show on RTÉ when he got down on one knee to propose. Thankfully she said yes, and presenters Daithi O'Shea and Maura Derrane were on hand to help out and give the newly engaged couple a bottle of champagne and a bouquet of flowers. Speaking on a Facebook live video after the show ended Sarah Jane said:

"I’m literally in shock, how did you hide this from me, you’ve a long train journey home. I am in shock, I was not expecting this at all, I am so happy.”

Ian added, "I actually planned on doing it a long time ago…I was like today, I’m going to do it today." He then explained that he got help from one of the producers of the show and made a plan to do it live on TV. Here's how it happened:
